This 2-hour pre-conference session will evaluate how we prepare students to be successful in our programs.  Topics will include identifying a student’s reading level and how to improve that level.  We will cover how to correct dyslexia and teach incorporating successful study strategies and how to implement progressive testing. Attention will be given on how to read a test question and how not to “Read into’ a test question.  Finally, we will challenge the grading practices most schools follow and change these so that we are more focused on learning than obtaining good grades.
